I don't see how Deng fits into our offense yet. Maybe things will change when McRoberts is back. Believe it or now he's the player I'm really looking forward to see his impact
Deng is a damn good passer, a great cutter, a reliable shooter from the corner, and extremely high IQ. Our offense is gonna be a lot more motion oriented so Deng's ability to cut and pass is very important.
But his biggest impact is his defense which will allow Wade a little more leeway on defense to boost into offense without straining himself.
Ennis can do everything Deng can do right now, there is absolutely no reason he should not be getting any PT right now, Spolstra once again showing he has no fukkin idea how to "COACH" a team
I love me some Ennis but get real. Deng is a better defender, stronger, smarter, reads defenses better, and is still a better overall player by a hefty amount.
Ennis is our diamond in the rough but he's still raw in key aspects. He's catching teams off guard because he wasn't very popular but he still has some key problems like he can be a little too "hand-happy" on defense which leads to dumb fouls, he can be out of control, he's very prone to ball-watching, etc.
Ennis is perfect for our 2nd unit. He's exciting, can catch fire, can put pressure on other bench mobs, etc.
Napier and Ennis also seem to have chemistry so they're a good one-two punch.
