You have to play that when you don't have a rim protector

So how are teams without rim protectors better at defense then us? Because if thats the case then Spo needs to be fired. Because its obvious our defense doesnt fit with our team. Spo got on this position-less shyt & is running it into the ground. Honestly it makes it seem like he doesnt know how to coach. He is taking the lazy way out.

It says we are 9th in points allowed but that shyt is smoke & mirrors. Because when we play a team with a good offense our defense turns into swiss cheese. I need to look at the teams. But us having a shot blocker isnt the reason why we run that defense system.

Then Spo needs to be fired. Because he insist on running this played out defensive system. Instead of doing what a real coach would do & scrap this trap & switch defense. Because it exposes our 3 point defense.

This is the NBA. Positions only matter when it comes to WHO you are guarding on defense. Most team who don't have a true PG or Center do it OR f you have a logjams at those positions.

• The Bulls ran the positionless system to some degree where Pippen was the main ball handler but the ball was also handled by Jordan and Ron Harper and BJ Armstrong.
• The SPURS had Duncan playing PF when he's really a Center by size definition and he has a typical Center's game but they have never listed I'm at C.
• The Sixers did the same with AI.

Again, POSITIONS only matter when it comes to who you guard. The whole positionless concept is NOT new. Spoelstra simply gave it a name

I just told you the top 15 defensive teams in the NBA have big bodies and rim protection, it's not spo's fault the team doesn't have proper pieces that's the GM's problem. I pretty sure this is the same system that was being demanded when Miami was a top defense in 2012-2013 and even then Miami suffered the same weaknesses. Also the players just are not running the pick and roll defense at a consistently acceptable level.

Umm yes he should have realized this after we got fukkin smoked by the Spurs. Our defense was getting exposed all last season. We made up for it by shooting 3's. How am i not making a point? Spo & Riley could have sign a big body in the off season instead we have Hamilton a fukking 7 ft SG just like Bosh at times. We signed Whiteside but Spo rather play fukking Hamilton after he was getting DNPs.

NO. He had 2 centers so he used one to guard a C and the other to guard a PF. Duncan has never been and will never be a PF. As a coach you use what you have and you TRY your best to make it work. Riley, the last 3 years, has failed to land us a rim protector and rebounder. This is on Riley. If you ask me Spo has done a good job adjusting

He's in the same position as Al Horford of the Hawks. Good PF who can play C that ends up suffering because he HAS TO play out of position at C.

Pop drafted Duncan so obvious he had a plan for them. So this goes back to my point. Im sure Spo & Riley have a list of players to go after in free agency. Who did we go after? Granger & McRoberts. Players that fit with this small ball stuff. Granger isnt even playing.

Adjusting? he is hit or miss.

Pre-season? try all last year & the finals then that carrying into this year. Honestly i forgot what free agent bigs were out there. I mean we could have drafted a big man. Or got Patric Young who is a defensive big/ shot blocker to develop.
