The anime was basically a cliff's notes, rushed version of the manwha. But I sorta got why since the first season of the manwha is a bit dragged out to set up the universe it's in. I can't even be mad at anime haters
The anime version of this is up there like The Promised Neverland 2nd Season as one of the most

I'd throw in Record of Ragnarok...a combat manga that's anime adaptation did a poor job animating the damned combat sequences. I think all Record of Ragnarok and ToG adaptations both had the benefit of being based on such good original works that they still hold up as half-decent. But they're massive disappointments compared to their sources.
The only recent joint to live up to its source material for me is Tokyo Revengers.

The Anime is mid so far, I would recommend you start reading the Manhwa. The lore and world building caught my attention, that nikka Baam is nice, he building a nice squad and continually adding to his harem as he climbs, this jawn and The Breaker are great reads if got time.
