Yeah, for every ToG or Breaker that gets it's shine, there's a Epic of Gilgamesh or Vagrant Soldier Ares that goes completely unnoticed.

It's sad to say, but I'm starting to feel that Korea is being noticed more for it's brand of ecchi than anything else comic wise.

FAM! I read this joint beginning to end YEARS ago and wanted to re-read it recently but couldn't find it because I only searched Ares. Definitely a slept on classic in my book along with Pluto (this one just gets slept on because people focus on Urasawa's other works). When I couldn't find Ares, I went with Worst instead; forgot how much I enjoyed it.

Sidenote: does anyone think that one of the emperors (what those 3 red eyes symbolize) are gonna wake up and wonder what the fukk is going on?

I wonder what the power dynamic between them and Jahad is, the way people in the story talk it's like they dont even exist

With some family heads looking like secret allies to Baam, it'd make sense for one of those dudes to wake up and start making moves. I thought FUG was set up by Headon he's the one picking who can come into the tower and he set up shyt from the very beginning. It'd make sense imo, remember SIU said the entire TOG story is alluded to/explained on the walls in that very first room where he is, breh prolly knows everything


And he just has the dopest look drew me into the story/art

Yeah maybe that's what Eduan meant when he came back and something else returned, he could have become one with a being similar to Red Thryssa that gave him the extra edge over the other family heads to take over the tower.

Might also be a reason why he does not want to spread his blood by having children, no other family head has issues with reproducing except the head of the Yeon family. Could explain why Wangnan and Karaka are so hard to kill if they really are Jahad's kids.

I need to go and reread that chapter. I thought the one that resides with Baam is the child of the original? This red Thryssis even looks a little like Jahads true form.

My overall theory is the guardian on its last breath made a deal with Jahad. That deal made Jahad powerful enough to be the king. And the Guardian get some benefit maybe revenge against Enryu in some form. Jahad is powered by the guardian and Enryu's power is what took the guardian down. The thorns are fragments of his power (Enryu) ,so that's why Fug is helping Baam get the thorn fragments. The original power that took down a guardian that is powering Jahad

I always thought Headon was potentially the person behind Phantaminum just randomly appearing and vanishing. Re-reading the descriptions on Exis and their powers, he kinda fits that bill as well.

Breh, you got me thinking heavy about what Headon's role is already.

Although most Guardians normally stay on their Floors, Headon seems to be the only Guardian with the ability to visit other Floors of the Tower. This is because he teleports into any of the 134 Floors of the Outer Tower or the Middle Area when selecting Regulars. Headon travels across all Floors and selects people that catch his eye. The selected people are known as chosen Regulars (선별인원, seonbyeolinwon; "selected members"). These people begin at Evankhell's Floor and climb the Tower from there.

It is said that Headon is the most experienced Guardian of the Tower. Although that only means he was the first Guardian Zahard met and therefore the first one to carry out the roles of a Guardian, that doesn't mean he's the oldest.

Only guardian that can travel around the different floors; has the ability to teleport wherever he wants. The only reason they give for him selecting regulars is "they catch his eye" which means we don't know what his actual logic is for allowing people in. He's also the first guardian that Zahard met, which could mean any number of things considering Zahard was the first to make contracts with the guardians.

Headon is highly regarded within the Tower.

• Evan uses honorifics when addressing him.
• Serena Rinnen calls him "a real god".
• Horyang calls Headon "the true master of the Tower
• Unlike most Guardians, Headon is used to hold grudges or vent his anger

I think that supports him not being a real Guardian but being something even stronger, but what if Zahard stopped climbing because he realized that the real goal should be to get out of the tower altogether? Irregulars are crazy strong, so maybe Zahard chooses to be king in the tower than free and outside of it but without the influence he has. So he melts the key into the 13 ignition weapons and the crimson rings which means no one will be able to get outside. I realize this is a lot of speculation but it would actually tie in nicely Baam's and Rachel's intentions for climbing the tower. Baam only wanted to be with Rachel and what was her reason for climbing the tower? To see the stars.

Horyang callrd him "a real god" because of the way he appear above him when he was in a super deep depression, i think that was the last chapter siu had him in, during the teddy/cassano arc where baam fought ran and novick for the first time

Outside of that i agree, breh on some other shyt, the 13 ignition weapons being a key that gets you out makes too much sense and lowkey explains why having more than one drives most people crazy


Also.......it aint no coincidence Baams true shinsu is black and he started off with The Black March fukking with him off GP SIU gonna do the right thing and Baam gonna get that shyt back
