Great writer, his book Outliers is still one of my favorites I quote to others even now.
What he doesn't say during his questions is how his own sense and desire to be seen by the white majority shaped his view of the world also.
Some people are more talented at some things than others, people need to stop lying to themselves. Somebody can master something in a week that somebody else can spend 100,000 hours on and not get there.

Agree. He danced around that when he was answering her questions. It was interesting that he felt more empathy for the frightened older white ppl in those scenarios he mentioned than the young Black men who were obviously scared and traumatized from being profiled.
Very interesting. Definitely some hesitation with that answer.
