But there’s something else that’s rather unusual about Kelly. Early in the film it’s mentioned that she is Malcolm’s daughter from a previous relationship. However, it’s also mentioned that she is one of three children Goldblum has fathered with this unidentified partner.

random qoute i just took from some random place.

IIRC the movie was actually supposed to end with their helicopter getting attacked by Pterodactyls after they escaped the raptors and then narrowly fighting tem off, and then midway through filming Spielberg tacked on the whole San Diego part. And it shows. shyt made no sense...though watching it as a kid it was straight fukkery :banderas:

fukkin' T-Rex just casually strolling through a San Diego suburb, drinking from the pool :mjlol:

The black daughter makes a little bit more sense when you read the novel and realize that she’s supposed to be an amalgam of two characters there: Kelly, a teenage white girl and Arby, her black friend. Neither were Malcolm’s children in the book. As for the movie, I just assume she was adopted or something.

As for the rest of the movie, I’ve watched it so many times and honestly couldn’t tell you what the plot is supposed to be about. All I can remember about it is that the good human characters are responsible for more deaths than the bad guys, and that there’s a scene where the daughter kills a velociraptor via gymnastics.
