The third act of the lost world: Jurassic park is a mess

I was flipping through channels in the evening before finding it, and . I really want to know what exactly happened in both filming and post production. You’ve got characters who were important in the first two acts just not in the third at all, the fact that the boat seemingly went from off the Costa Rican coast to San Diego with no radio contact and nobody found this odd . There’s the whole crew being dead somehow even though the tyrannosaurus was the only animal on board . Somehow it’s loose in the cargo hold now too . All of a sudden the bad guys have the baby Rex nobody has seen since the good guys patched it’s leg up and the adults took it . Why is Jeff goldblum at the event at the dock in the first place. He sure as hell wasnt invited . No emergency services trying to capture the Rex except a few basic cop cars . The bad guy goes into the cargo hold alone for the baby Rex . So much fukkery and it made no sense. Was anyone paying attention at any point

Yea the movie was solid until the San Diego part. Action movies were so illogically bad from 94-98

I probably hate no third act more than I hate The Lost World's. I even refuse to give the good parts of the movie props because of how abominably bad the third act is.

The repeated that exact same mistake with the most recent Jurassic Park movie.The whole mansion sequence was trash. They need to just keep it on the island because everytime they leave it stops being a dinosaur movie and turns into a typical monster movie.
If thats what i wanted to see i would watch Godzilla or some Horror flick instead.

Then there’s the fact that her mother isn’t in the movie either . What purpose as a character did she even serve in the movie ? If you remove her from the movie, nothing in the narrative changes. She’s not even in the third act. It’s like the studio thought there needed to be a kid in the movie either since the first one did or they thought kids wouldn’t want to see it or buy stuff from the movie unless there’s a kid in it.

3’s ending was even worse . After escaping from the spinosaur, which seemingly was stalking a group of people it certainly knows are way too small to make a decent meal so there’s no good reason to pursue them, they run into the raptors, give up the eggs, and all of a sudden the navy and marines show up on the beach

That gymnastics scene with the raptors was pretty terrible too.

But the T-rex in the camper scene was cool.
T-rex in the waterfall was cool.
Raptors in the tall grass was cool.
The hunters intro was cool.
The girlfriends intro was cool.

had a few good scenes before becoming trash.
