Someone was telling me about this movie months back. It looks like the worst of Shia's obsession with being a serious actor, and Ayers obsession with "authentic LA".

‘The Tax Collector’ Review: Street Gangs and Family Values

This sounds outrageously bad, maybe worth watching for the fun of laughing. Or maybe not.

collecting taxes for some quasi La Eme organization in east LA while wearing a three piece suit, oh my god lol

That is like the essential nerdy white guy drama theater kid fantasy. Just ridiculous. Go on Beverly and Fairfax Rancho Sinaloa market and see how many gangsters are wearing suits in LA heat.

George Lopez?!

Training Day = Denzel is a force of nature.
Fury = great cast, finally changing his canvas for a movie
...

that's it. End of Watch is overrated as fukk. I never understood how anyone could think Harsh Times was good. Never saw Sabotage, but looked generic and i've never heard a peep about it. Suicide Squad - he can claim it was studio interference all he wants, nothing was saving that. ... Bright was "decent, i guess?" b/c it was one of the first big Netflix movies. imagine revisiting that stupid world? You never will.

Dude's rep is on life support if this movie is diarrhea, which it looks like.

Street Kings a underrated hood flick
Street Kings was basically a remake of Dark Blue (that Kurt Russell movie) and ironically Daid Ayer is involved with both films. Also that scene with Game was literally a rehash of the Snoop scene in Training Day.
