He's an entertainer and he packages information in a way that is easily digested by younger people.

In my era, Flava Flav's antics, Terminator X, and the Bomb Squad's production helped make Chuck D's words and messages more accessible to us.

Tariq has to play the jester himself to keep people's attention, so that's gonna take away from whatever points he's trying to make.

I used to blame Tariq and a lot of internet speakers/celebs for dumbing down a lot of issues and for deliberately misleading people about serious topics, but the end of the day, he's an entertainer who is catering to a certain demographic. If some of his listeners aren't inclined to read books and form their own opinions, then that can't be blamed on him.

I'm not sure if he has had an overall positive or negative effect on the community.

I take the good with the bad when it comes to Tariq, through he let me down with historical inaccuracies in Hidden Colors tho

This is along the lines of what my gripe used to be with him. I believe that a good % of his audience will just take what's presented in his doc.s and shows as truth. Tells people what they want to hear.

I've had this discussion with people who are big fans of his. I always use this argument. You know the difference between the NBA all star game and the And 1 basketball games?

The NBA guys can entertain people and do tricks, but the next day once play time is over, they understand and can play fundamentally sound basketball at a high level......And 1 guys can't do that.

Tariq takes an "And1" approach to presenting history.

Selena also defended racist ass Taylor Swift when she lied on Kanye and then let her fans run with a bunch of racist stuff to play victim. Taylor wont say racist shyt but if she can play innocent victim white girl and scary angry black man she will keep on using it for years since he snatched the microphone. Patricia Heaton has been an open racist for years. She would get up and walk out of awards shows when rappers started performing. After the show she would complain about the rap music profanity and the shirtless rappers and sagging pants. I don't watch any shows with her in them. She is the female Tim Allen minus the talent but with all of the same racism.

She was photographed on the beach with no belly button. So after all her racist judgmental talking down to blacks about how we should look and act she is a fake old woman who gets cheap plastic surgery in installment plans.

Get a tummy tuck but put your belly button on layaway for next time and claim to be a real woman, brehettes.
