If that's the case and our only hope was voting for as you said 'feckless' Dems this outcome was inevitable. They lost the SC for the rest of our lives 8 years ago. Was anyone in government trying to stop lobbying or curb political fundraising? Everything you are complaining about has been on motion by both parties actions or lack therof.
