Next week sasha banks steals a title

:mjlol:

if anyone wwe should have kept it was young.
as young if allowed to work will ramp up if allowed time.

young is one of the very few who can if given shyt.
make it into gold.

oh well,...
hopefully we get to see him somewhere worthwhile.

ey = truly great under rated worker in any style or variety of sports entertainment.

with that said,...ey was doomed to fail off bigger is better.

I listened to a jr podcast excerpt on Jericho and vkm off bigger is better. Or quite simply if vkm is bigger than you. Will not give you a chance.
unless someone like jr was there to campaign for you. Of which i am sure over the years vkm showed his true colors and fired jr. When real talk, Jr was poached to be buried. Yet was valuable and became an asset that eventually vkm would STILL bury.

Vince and Dunn still have a preference for the kind of talent they want pushed. If you don't look like that then you have to be able to get a response from the crowd that makes it undeniable to them.

Punk, Bryan and AJ got it but EY just ain't get the response unfortunately.

Edit: Then add the fact that he was a TNA original and they probably wanted to make a point. AJ taking the detour to Japan and becoming IWGP champion probably saved him from the same fate as every other TNA signee.

Also the popularity of the Bullet Club at the time was a saving grace for AJ too.

Cuz people forget how red hot they where at the time

Young is basically 5’11” Kane, he can make anything gold no matter how abysmal it initially is

In EYs defense though.

He’s proven that whatever spot you put him in he can do.

Want him to be a evil heel - check
Want him to be a loveable baby face - check
Want him to be a main man event level champ - check

Want him to be a funny comedy jobber - check

There’s isn’t anything thing on the roster currently being done on Smackdown & Raw thar EY couldnt do just as well if not better.

Na...... they didn’t know how to use him

He's 40, looks like an up sized midget, has been a joke wrestler roughly 90% of his career, sounds like he's been gargling glass for 10 years, his best run was...shyt who knows how many years ago. 10? Remember the reaction to Joe's first feud as NXT Champion being a random ass Eric Young and everyone being :gucci: as hell. And then EY got his own white trash stable to replace the Wyatt Family?

They only hired him because that was around the peak of hire EVERYONE of any possible note. 100% they wouldn't have even made an offer today in a non-corona world.

He’s not wrong about the value he brings to the table. He’s a valuable midcard player who can work with whatever you give him. Guys like him are essential to having a complete roster

This is a great point a lot of people don't seem to understand in general. Those midcard utility guys (I call it the "Jamie Noble Role") can be just a step below a main eventer in importance because they can very easily slip between serious and comedic as needed, and can basically fill any midcard spot from JTTS to the IC/US title level (and if they can't wrestle, they're usually good enough talkers to be credible managers). Those are the types of guys you depend upon to anchor your midcard, and WWE doesn't use the ones they have well at all (because they've completely forgotten how to book a midcard).

I don't think Young was going to work as a wrestler in late 2010s WWE. He just isn't good enough to overcome the issues with his size and look that Vince and company were going to see in him. However, he IS a pretty good talker, and could have worked as a manager with the right act. Naturally, they didn't really do shyt with him, and here we are.
