The Supreme Court’s latest opinion means innocent people must remain in prison

So basically people who have been found guilty beyond a reasonable doubt, cannot challenge their sentences at a later date when the law(s) they were found guilty of breaking change and/or are removed?

So even though what they did isn't even illegal anymore they should serve the whole sentence because they knew it WAS illegal at the time?
