It's funny how so many people stopped watching in 2008 because that's when I started watching. :mjlol:

It's insane how WWE quickly killed off Punk's buzz. I don't know how they were able to fumble it like they did. True, he held the championship for 434 days, but from June to August 2011, he was hotter than a fire on a Vegas sidewalk. They took something so simple and over-complicated it to the point where I still have no idea what they were trying to do. It made for some of the best TV they had in years, but Punk's coronation should have been at SummerSlam, not Survivor Series. And then they had Triple H, Alberto Del Rio, and Awesome Truth all get wins over him in the interim. :hhh:

We are two weeks shy of the anniversary of the Pipe Bomb promo :mindblown:

Who would’ve thought 10 years later the company would be at woat levels :wow:

It was an average promo looking back

Punk looked elite on the mic because other wrestlers at the time were so bad.

I remember his segments with Triple H from that time. Hunter used to just brush off everything Punk used to say and make him look stupid

That's the difference between a good and an elite promo guy.

How about everyone :mjtf:. It’s been a sinking ship since post wrestlemania 19 breh. They can’t use the OG’s anymore to put on 5 star matches. PS: Punk was pretentious and boring as a mf…. Just a bunch of “angry Cac” Mumbo jumbo

I stopped watching regularly in 2002 and would check in here and there to see what’s going on. It’s absolutely terrible now. Funny when I look in retrospect that John cena wasn’t that bad and I hated that character :mjlol:

I LIVE IN A CARDBOARD BOX!
I caught the tail end of that RAW. It was mostly background noise for me, until Punk's promo made me turn away from texting someone. Say what you will about TNA, but they booked AJ Styles's "leaving the company with the title" storyline correctly. The only thing to my knowledge that they did after MITB 2011 was have Punk storm in and take over a WWE Comic Con panel.

Damn, WWE. You had lightning in a bottle and just let it disappear with the quickness. That's why I wasn't surprised when they dropped the ball with Zack Ryder who was white hot around that time too. They also tried to do the same with Daniel Bryan, but the fans refused to let WWE have a threepeat kill. :wow:
