Somewhere tropic...
Circular reasoning is annoying
"PC is doing great, consoles not selling as much"
OK, stop putting games on PC
"No! Cost of AAA is too high! Exclusives are thing of the past"

Removing games from the platform with the largest audience would not make them sell more copies.

That’s crazy talk.

Well then no Playstation will ever match the PS2 sales
Console sales are no longer the measure of success for the industry.

PS4 was lots more lucrative for sony than the PS2 while selling like 70 million less consoles.

They have now pretty much exhausted that market and with costs going up the only way forward is to find customers outside of their console market, even if that means they sell a bit less hardware.

Live service kinda flipped everything on its head. Time is the most valuable resource and time spent on those games means way less oxygen for others. And now, Marvel Rivals is added to that mix.

Also since they last longer people aren’t gonna super pressed to upgrade systems

The industry has flipped from fighting over money to fighting over time.

The most successful games going forward are those that capture and reward people’s time.
