“The Starters” cancelled on NBA TV

Open Court is the only original NBA TV content I really liked and I think they should have more things like it.

I don't know how much they cost to create but they should be pumping out a bunch of those instead of the sporadic schedule they have now. Instead of the topics being so broad do them about specific events or rivalries. Do them like the old classic games series where you have them watch a clipped version of some of the greatest games in history with discussions going on while showing the game.

Between that and just celebrating the history of the game. I've said before celebrate unheralded teams or some of the great teams in the past. It's so much they could be doing.

I watched it a few times and I don't think it was terrible, it just wasn't for me. It was catered to cacs that enjoy White humor/analytics.

I always wondered why they thought we wanted to see 5 non athletic boring white guys discuss basketball. One of them was Australian too

Like getting 5 dudes from Japan to host a show on Jazz music. I get that you want to use Journalists, but mix in some players too. Or failing that, get some personality, have a comedian or something.

I didn't mind those guys. I've been a fan since TBJ, but I never watched the show.

I listened to their main 2 podcasts on Tuesday and Friday. It was a halfway decent way of catching up with the week in basketball during the season when I didn't have time to keep up with the day in day out ups and downs of the league.

TV shows showing the impact of basketball all over the world..I visited the Philippines once & there were basketball goals EVERY WHERE. shyt was beautiful

Pick up games between old players & celebs

A review of each team’s previous season like how the NFL does with the yearbook thing they do every summer

Could be one of the goat channels

They could make easy content off a show like the NFL's top 10 on their channel. even if it's just stuff like "top ten alley oops of all time" i'd at least give it a watch. Have their crew of players breakdown famous games/moments in like a weekly show. Also make Open Court a more regular thing, those stories are fun and interesting.

yea its crazy how the NFL, MLB & NHL networks are all light-years ahead of nba-tv.
its like nba-tv doesn't even try outside of when they show games & next-day replays.

they need to do a top 10 show like the other stations have where they rank teams, players, moments, etc in different categories/themes, etc.
theyre like the only station that doesn't have a show like this. and then people wonder why older b-ball legends & goats get disregarded & ignored like this was hip-hop.

oh and they need to do a top 100 or at least top 50 players countdown every year.

For starters where's their daily PTI- First Take type basketball show at? They currently dominate all the headlines story and drama wise but they literally have no show to highlight all of their daily soap opera drama. The Sirius XM NBA channel is where its at. They have numerous shows throughout the day and they all go IN nonstop. I honestly think NBA TV should simulcast a couple of Sirius NBA shows during the morning and afternoon if they are going to continue to take the cheap route as far as programming is concerned. That would do them justice

Man, they need to cut out the callers to these NBA radio shows. They legit pick the worst possible people to the point I think they're trolling with it when they select callers.
