Time is a trip

Yea...the fall off in those years was significant. Lot of factors, but too much r&b mixture, everyone trying to have a club hit, corny early 2000s beats, etc. etc.
Even 2000 to 2002 there's a noticeable decline in quality, let a lone going back to 98 which was a great year in hip hop
2002 was pretty fukking weak looking back. Lord Willin', Gods Son (kinda mid), Lost Tapes, The Fix
People getting raped for using samples. Everyone trying to run with keyboard Beats to save money. The digital sounds took a long time to get decent.Yea...the fall off in those years was significant. Well it's like 91 to 92 or 92 to 93-94
We forgetting that if you heard it in 98 it doesn't mean it was recorded in 98. Prob could be as far back as 95-96
I agree with the samples part...shyt was trashPeople getting raped for using samples. Everyone trying to run with keyboard Beats to save money. The digital sounds took a long time to get decent.
But that last whole sentence is complete blasphemy

What's blasphemy? I'm saying those were the best albums from 2002, but the year as a whole was weak.

He's the face of Hip Hop's decline. Yea, capitalism was involved in the artform selling out and going commercial, but I don't think any 1 person is more responsible for the decline than diddy.
