Don't you mean the graphics and story of Detroit was good, but the gameplay was questionable?

I loved that game, but, the fact they didn't do anything better or even different from an early Telltale game is a shame.

I like the choice and branching storyline element, I think it was dope.

The actual story, tho... bootlegged Saturday afternoon Blade Runner with a Black Twitter edit...not horrible, not that good

Naw the the plot was stupid. And picking and choosing basic black civil rights issues and half assedly applying them to androids was cringe worthy. There were a bunch of other questionable things in that game side from that.

This android was literally a field robot

They did a horrible job of writing an actual story.

The humans were comically evil (that one fat white lady that beat the android in the public for dropping her bag was a stupid scene) and the android are ridiculously angelic unless you roleplayed as evil Jesse Williams.

• The comically evil son of the art guy
• The comically evil robot torture chamber dude
• Every bad thing an android deal had a reason

They didn't even try to explore more of the unemployment and shyt negatively affecting humans. And they swore this was a deep story.

Disneys not buying anything. They are renting out an IP to a video game studio

but yeah, David Cage games are just kind of written terribly. It’s like they are going for deep hollywood type movie storytelling but it comes off so campy and on the nose. The presentation really saves these games. If it didn’t have state of the art graphics, music, voice acting I’m not sure if theres much of a game there

I also wonder how much of the motion capture and talent acquisition sony was responsible for

The suspense and action movie/drama vibe saved it for me
