The bashing of Southern Hip-Hop was/and forever be the stupidest sour grapes in the trajectory of the genre.

At the end of the day, the South made catchy tunes.

They didn’t rely a lot on sampling like NYC.


Pimp C said about how the ones who were complaining about the South wasn’t selling records.


The real ones in NYC knew to get money with the South.


Jay-Z knew that for a fact which is why he was the first NY nikka to work with Cash Money and No Limit plus he went to UGK for Big Pimpin(UGK was one of his favorite groups).

Nas was doin records with JD, Mac, Devin The Dude, and of course Lil Jon

Jadakiss and Fat Joe were doin records down South too
