I still got a few Rubbermaid totes filled with my old magazines. Only time I touch them is when I move

It really used to blow me when I us subscriptions and them bytches would hit the newsstands before my mailbox

My new home library/studio is coming along. I got one more trips to make to storage and get the important mags to go on the shelf. Vibe, source, XXL, scratch, slam, wax poetics, rap pages, elemental, and other mags many aren't aware of like murder dog, rap sheet, insomniac, beat down, xlr8r, etc.. And those are just the hip hop. I got about 70 issues of the source left in storage. I stopped buying them around 2008 because hip hop was in a place that I didn't give a fukk about anymore. Add in that 6 or 7 of 12 XXL covers each year started featuring Interscope artists. Em and 50 would get 1 a piece per year and they'd spread it around to mostly interscope artists. My only problem is that I've got to pay someone to bag them up for me because I simply don't want to do it. And this dates back 30+ years of rare magazines, including the likes of Fresh, Yo, and Word up, etc..

Man I bought every issue of the Source from Oct 96 w/ Snoop on the cover until June or July 2003 I think it was a Terror Squad cover. Then I fully switched to XXL. I wish I kept all of them. I used to cut out the pic and put them up on my wall

Yall remember that episode of the Cosby Show when Cliff was trying to get that Night in Tunisa record at an auction? lol, that was me the other day. I needed one more Source mag to complete my collection from 1990-2005 and I finally got that mf and it cost me a lot.. A couple month ago, I paid my niece and cousin to bag them all up for me cuz I didn't want to do it. If I knew how to digitize them like the guy does on his site, I'd do it for free becuase I've got a lot of rare shyt I haven't even seen for sale online.

Any chance you could digitize the Year End lists for these issues if you have them? Always interested on what was seen as the best albums, songs back then.

I can do that. I have the ODB one, by the time 2005 rolled around, I was tired of it. From 2006 until it ended, I didn't fukk with it as much. i'd buy one or 2 per year. So I don't think I have that January 2006 one, I have to check, but I for sure got the ODB cover issue

It was in 2004 from January-August but i can't remember the month. I do remember 2 albums they talked about were Grand Daddy IU's Smooth Assassin and Professor Griff's Pawn in the Game. They said Pawn in the Game album is what Public Enemy would sound like without Flava Flav. Can anyone help me to which source or XXL magazine that is because I've obviously overlooked it in the ones I've looked through.
