I know ...but was like a who set it up...

Or is it open ended like he had hela enemies

My guess is New York felt humiliated by the hit on Phil in front of his wife and grandkids so they wanted to humiliate Jersey in the same manner.

Tony and his “glorified crew” were basically done for anyway so why not destroy the Jersey Crew once and for all with a hit on Tony. :yeshrug:

My best guess anyway.

Speaking of Meadow, she played a pivotal role in Tony’s downfall. Ratting out Vito for no reason and innocently telling Tony about the incident with Coco.

Nah breh, hard disagree on the 'no reason' and 'innocently telling' parts.

In both cases Meadow initially didn't tell Tony. First it was Finn who only told her later how inappropriate Vito was towards him (so it was VITO who fukked up here), and in the second it was Carmella who pushed her to tell Tony about Coco.

In what world is a daughter NOT supposed to tell her dad/parents about one of his associates telling her she looked good with cum on her face :picard: AND he put his hand on her face too.

Carlo flipping was another reason for New York to clip Tony. His indictment was inevitable and with all their business it would've been almost impossible for NY to not get dragged into the RICO case. Getting rid of Tony was a cheaper/cleaner option than risking him being a rat.

Who killed Tony or if he even got killed is irrelevant though, I think Chase wanted to get the point across that it was over no matter what - his inner circle was down to Paulie, everyone else either dead or flipped, the indictment was looming, the kids were all grown up, there was nothing left for Tony. Either he's murdered, rots in jail, or escapes both and dies alone like Uncle June.

Started randomly watching S2...it’s just about flawless start to finish and def the most complete season.

from where to eternity is genuinely well written...that stretch from full metal jack thru funhouse is :ohlawd::ohlawd::ohlawd:

honestly the whole season runs like that with only D Girl being the minor filler (still a great ending to that episode too)

It's crazy how little filler there truly is, despite each season having these long ass side stories. Very little feels trivial or doesn't work. And because of how well crafted it is and how so many stories stand on their own...it's infinitely rewatchable. You can pick up a random episode anywhere and enjoy it without feeling like you have to go back and watch the beginning of the season.

I just watched the entire 1st season not realizing I've watched the entire 1st season already at some point in my life :dwillhuh:

Watching like "I remember this...I remember that....I've seen this part before"

Not disappointed at all tho.

On to season 2 in the coming weeks :blessed:
