IIRC, Chase said one of the main inspirations for the show was the Goodfellas scene when they're at Tommy's mom's house after whacking a guy, they're just sitting around the table shooting the shyt and the whole thing is absurd and funny af.

Gonna have to rerun these. Same damn casts in Goodfellas, King of New York, Casino, etc. got me confused as hell :dead:

This is still one of the funniest scenes in the entire series. :russ: "You gotta hide me, I'm with you now" should be quoted as much as "varsity athlete" and "whatever happened there."

Chrissy was the only person on the show who actually tried taking Chip ‘n Dale under his wing and they ended up shooting bro.

This might be the dumbest plan in the entire series.

They were going to kill the boss' hair apparent, the same boss that they're obsessed with and want to impress. They did it to score points with the boss' #1 enemy. Literally no outcome exists outside of them getting killed and tortured.

Still rewatching season 1 and if they just added some goofy kind of music to all the scenes with Tony's Mom and of Junior and Tony's crew this show would be a full blown comedy.

I'm rewatching now and just burst out laughing at Tony giving a crying Furio the :what:face and telling him he's gotta get over his father's death...but in the very next scene Tony is in tears telling Melfi how upset the pie oh my painting made him feel. :dead:

such a great show! Tony always had to act tough in front of his crew, he also starts a fight with his body guard in front of the crew to not look weak.
