@ReasonableMatic you’re missing on major point:

Jewish and Christian books arent the words of God verbatim for mankind

They aren’t even considered “perfect” scriptures from God (or an Angel) but rather mans words “inspired” by God.

Now you can show me what the PROPHETS of the Old Testament said or did concerning slavery but even they weren’t perfect people.

Jesus was the only “perfect” person or voice we have contributing to the Bible.

Jesus didn’t own slaves and his teachings condemn slavery as do the 10 commandments for any Christian with common sense

You can point to the history of bad people who called themselves Christians but show me what fault you have in Jesus.

And most importantly this thread is about slavery in ISLAM and the Arab Muslim world. This is much different than any other religion or culture.

Just focus on them. Why deflect to others?

Deuteronomy 4:1-4

1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers giveth you.

2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.

3
Your eyes have seen what the Lord did because of Baalpeor: for all the men that followed Baalpeor, the Lord thy God hath destroyed them from among you.

4 But ye that did cleave unto the Lord your God are alive every one of you this day.

you dont discern between Paul and the God of Israel.

“Heqet”

It has been proposed that her name is the origin of the name of Hecate, the Greek goddess of witchcraft. :sadcam:

Hecate (Greek: Ἑκάτη, Hekátē) is the goddess of magic, crossroads, witchcraft, sorcery, ghosts and necromancy in ancient Greek religion and myth. :lupe:

Isis was queen of the Gods, the Great Lady, and also Mistress of Words of Power, Goddess of Spells and Weaver of Spells, and Hecate is nothing more than a title of Isis personified.
:ehh:

Might be off topic, but at what point would you say ancient Egyptians religion was “corrupted”? :youngsabo:

Also it’s interesting how goddess figures like heqet contrast someone like Mary :hubie:
to the egyptians, the land of canaan was the land of wildlife and clay

so what you call witchcraft, could be just the degrees of seperation between an Egyptian and beings of the dead/netherworld (see necromancy)

is it Heqet...or Heqatitty?

... this King Teti's meal is in Nun,
for this King Teti is one who goes to and fro ..."

Job 1:6-9
6 Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan came also among them.

7 And the Lord said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it.

8 And the Lord said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

9 Then Satan answered the Lord, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought?

Islam is a religion created by anti-black Arabs. It was used for over 1 thousand years to brainwash and control Africa so the Arabs could form trade deals and get access to their resources.

Like it or not, that is the reality.

Is there even an idea of “Satan” in Egyptian religion non the less “demons”?

Saw this in the thread you linked to. Was this on purpose :banderas:

blusterer or spacious place?

1 Kings 3:16-28

16 Then came there two women, that were harlots, unto the king, and stood before him.

17 And the one woman said, O my lord, I and this woman dwell in one house; and I was delivered of a child with her in the house.

18 And it came to pass the third day after that I was delivered, that this woman was delivered also: and we were together; there was no stranger with us in the house, save we two in the house.

19 And this woman's child died in the night; because she overlaid it.

20 And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.

21 And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear.

22 And the other woman said, Nay; but the living is my son, and the dead is thy son. And this said, No; but the dead is thy son, and the living is my son. Thus they spake before the king.

23 Then said the king, The one saith, This is my son that liveth, and thy son is the dead: and the other saith, Nay; but thy son is the dead, and my son is the living.

24 And the king said, Bring me a sword. And they brought a sword before the king.

25 And the king said, Divide the living child in two, and give half to the one, and half to the other.

26 Then spake the woman whose the living child was unto the king, for her bowels yearned upon her son, and she said, O my lord, give her the living child, and in no wise slay it. But the other said, Let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it.

27 Then the king answered and said, Give her the living child, and in no wise slay it: she is the mother thereof.

28 And all Israel heard of the judgment which the king had judged; and they feared the king: for they saw that the wisdom of God was in him, to do judgment.

People say without religion where do we get our morals, yet we see examples of our morals superseding religion all the time.
