The issue isn't that companies want ppl with experience, it's that they want ppl with 3-5 years experience for ENTRY LEVEL positions. Who is going to have 3-5 years experience at an ENTRY LEVEL position, straight out of school? It's not even logical, since anybody with that much experience isn't going to be doing entry level shyt anymore. I see this shyt all the time as I'm an integral part of the hiring process at my organization.

I am one of those rare people who got hired straight out of university with my "useless" psychology degree, without knowing anybody, making a middle class wage pretty much immediately. It was an incredible come up. I got lucky as hell.

Nah, they need to stop with the demanding experience requirements and hire young, gifted dudes like me coming fresh outta college.

It took me eight months out of college with my MBA to get a job in my field. I'm sitting up every night doing job applications like :to: I find one that I hit all the requirements for, fill it out, then I'm like :win: Only to get an email a month or so later saying that they found someone that fits what they are looking for more than me. nikka, I'm like :pacspit::shaq2::stopitslime:Cut the bullshyt. Nonetheless, I just keep plugging away. I got an interview on Monday for big bucks. I got my degree and I have my experience. Can't a damn thing stop me now. :lawd:

word. the only place that hired me with no experience was a project management company that could of hired a high school grad but wanted engineering majors. i seriously sat up in buildings in nyc all night just marking shyt off with a pen 15 hrs a day on salary 9with a 4 hr commute). FML shyt. after 3 weeks i told this dude i gotta give it up because it aint what i went to school for., thanks for the opportunity..

if i woulda stayed there i woulda been penalized for not working towards my field as i go to the next job... shyt is fukked all around.

I applied to another spot 2 years ago, they calle dme last week asking if i wnated to hook up computers at a hospital for 3 days. I wish i coulda gave em this face :leostare:

I feel what everyone is saying about the experience and the entry level positions but I get to get around some of that by having my MBA. In many cases, they consider that to be two years of experience right there. Something to look at.
