Finished a book about this some weeks back, they the East African half of the Black Diaspora. Funny how they were almost a total opposite to how slaves here were living. Siddis had their own armies and territories, they was mostly infantry for the Muslims so they were militarily inclined and got at nikkaz from land and sea. Very dynamic group of people, more research should be done on them and on the Arab Slave trade.

I wonder why so little attention is given to the Arab slave trade?

Yup..and they patrolled the sea guarding Muslims sailing to Mecca..if even one Siddi was on that ship, no pirates would dare hijack it..

Cause it's swept under the rug, a lot of Muslims like to pretend like slavery in the Arab world wasn't as bad as the Transatlantic one. They pretend as if everyone willfully became Muslim and accepted the word of Allah and his messenger.

We look at history from a European point of view mostly. Why do we believe the bullshyt that was Christopher Columbus? Plus the Euro trade was more recent and shorter whereas the Arab trade lasted for a millennia.

The Arab trade was a different industry and for different means, plus I'd also say not many descendants surviving is another reason for a lack of available info. I think Iraq has black people tracing back from the Arab trade as well, Siddis themselves stretch from India to Pakistan. You can find some other African descent groups in Yemen and I believe Oman too. But most of the people simply mixed, the outcomes of both groups from the Occidental and Oriental trades is a good way of showing the difference in style of slavery and what it was for and who partook in it and what rights those people enjoyed. Slaves were brought here to cultivate land for wealthy land owners, slaves were brought to India to work as artisans, soldiers, concubines, and administrators for the king. Since manual labor was in abundance among the Hindu population, no need to bring blacks over for plantation work. It's why Siddis lived considerably better than the slaves of the Americas in the same time period.

Even how they got on the ship was different brehs. Arab traders weren't preparing them for hard labor so you'd find on the Arab slave ship, the Africans would have their drums and instruments and simply sing their traditional songs on the deck. That's not to say the Arab trade was wholly benevolent, but you didn't have a bunch of people chained together under the deck of a ship either. Slaves were signs of wealth and opulence, so for the Arabs it were different prices according to the different services/functions with the male eunuch and female concubine being the top sellers respectively, they were like extensions of the family so to speak. Slavery was practices similarly in East Africa, mainly Ethiopia. For Europeans it was in their favor for the slaves to reproduce, but also to remain separate from them and from general society, they weren't allowed to retain certain elements of their culture, own property, cacs basically treated them like cattle whereas Arabs treated them like yorkies if that makes sense. :ehh:

The Arab slave trade of Africans officially ended after the transatlantic slave trade--around the late 1800s.

It is still going on, albeit discretely, in some countries.

Because that's part of the liberal white establishment in regards to keeping us misinformed on our history. It's why we love the POC slogans and actually believe anyone non-white is an ally. Once the whites fail, they'll be replaced and blacks will remain where they are globally. Don't worry though. They are people of color and have our interests in their minds.

Arab slave trade leads you to black history before slavery which leads you to a lot of moorish history which then leads you to find out that black people traveled the whole planet, including America before Columbus.

One of the biggest gifts the cacs got from the Moors was that nautical shyt. Africans and Arabs knew the trade winds how to get to different places by sea that cacs eventually used to conquer the world and tell everyone they were the master's of it the whole time.

It also leads you to black/arab history of enslaving whites, which in my opinion is why they're so merciless when it comes to the treatment of black people.

Agreed. I think it was around that time that modern racism started to develop. Musta been terrible for all those fair skinned cac bytches to be made into concubines for some rich sultan that did strange things like wash his ass and read/write. When they finally got Africans and Arabs out of Europe, you knew they'd play for keeps after that.
