The Lakers' efforts to dump Hill and Chris Kaman to get under tax stalled when they couldn't secure a second-round pick for either one.
KBergCBS: So with Steve Blake trade, Lakers likely standing pat with an $8M tax bill, down from $11.9M before deadline.
:snoop: Front office can't even salary dump trade properly either. :dead:

Did any of yall catch Max Kellerman shytting on Henry Abbott 2 days ago?? Dude said we should trade everything we have for Kevin Love. Max asked him when was the last time a franchise player(#1) failed to take his team to the playoffs in 5 straight years and dude couldn't answer. he tried to talk out of it by saying that if he was given more time, he could come up with an answer. Max told dude he'd put him on live if could come up with it, dude never called :heh:

Other teams aren't stupid. They know with the new cap , all picks are valuable.

KBergCBS: For those wondering, there is no deal pending for Pau Gasol at deadline, league source says. Lakers set to keep him, and his Bird rights.
There is no reason whatsoever Jordan Hill shouldn't be traded to someone for something.

Kevin Ding: Been saying Lakers' motivation to get out of luxury tax this season overrated. They don't expect even to be able to pay tax next 2 seasons.
Steve Blake trade saves money and Lakers have definitely tried harder to move Hill, Kaman and Gasol also, but nothing else done so far.
