It's cringe b/c even though they're a real life couple, their characters aren't connected, the story is kinda meh and they don't really "spark" onscreen together so it's just coming off WWE trying to capitalize on the fact that two of their champs are knocking boots.
And me saying they don't vibe well onscreen together is not shade because sometimes even actors who have real life relationships are terrible together onscreen (ex. Ben Affleck and J-Lo in Gigli). When you look at IRL wrestling couples that worked well together, they all had two major things going for them: Their characters were connected and made sense together (Marlena/Goldust, Miz/Maryse) and/or they had as much chemistry onscreen as off (Lana/Rusev, Jimmy/Naomi, Edge/Lita). Seth and Becky, imo, don't have either of those things going for them (and the writing for them is...challenging to say the least) so it's a whole struggle.
