You realize that whether it's best 8 in each confrence or top 16, the two best teams in the NBA are still gonna be the Cavs and Warriors. Y'all arguing this silly ass top 16 shyt just means they meet sooner in the playoffs and then we have ZERO to look forward too in the Finals. Finals would be a rating disaster
You have a point they would still be the best 2 teams. It should make the other teams hustle more for better seeding though.
If Warriors finish 1st seed, Cavs would hustle for the 2nd seed to end up on the other side of the bracket to avoid facing them until the finals. Which will make the regular season mean something.
LeBron is 32, gonna be 33 next season. There is no incentive, nothing anyone can do to make him go all out for 82 regular season games like he did when he was 24-25. It's not worth it physically for him. The only thing he sacrifices by coasting is potential MVP awards. Cavs and Warriors aren't scared of eachother, I don't think they would care what round they play.

Period.
Dude is 6' 8" and covering the court in 4 steps to shark your pitiful layup and you never know where its coming from, when its going to happen, and you can't even hear this dude running up behind you.
You're faced with nothing but time and your personal skills with the ball to hope your prayers have been answered and wishes that Lebron may doesn't have the energy to chase you down.
Is there a more consistently demoralizing act of defensive skill on any playing field to utterly destroy the morale of a player?

Even if they did one and done games for a playoffs it'd be mad predictable minus injuries hats the reason why the NFL can have Cinderella teams advance yet they arguably aren't the best team of the season
