I'm on Episode 4
I didn't think I would like it because of the pace, it's very slow.
But now I get it....

It's very interesting how much the main guy who plays sandman is tied to the script and presentation and tone of the series.
If they chose someone else this pace may not have worked and the script would not have presented itself as well.

So far i'm enjoying it, but it took 4 episodes for me to like it, mainly because of the pace.
If anyone does not like this series I suggest you keep watching, because you have to get used to the pace.
If they casted anyone else I don't think this would have worked.

There's not many movies/series like this where the main actor is central to the story, and I mean his demeanor, his whole presentation, even to his haircut and manner of speaking and his face and even how pale he is.
Everything ties to the presentation heavily.

Just finished watching this series and overall I enjoyed it :ehh:. Agree with most of the comments here with eps 4, 5, and 6 being the standouts for me and then the show switches in tone for a mini arc. Actually think the show works better as more episodic, with telling a different story each episode. Not sure how the comics are structured.

On the Rose tip

Show does go more fantasy and goofy, with her being a dream vortex and her friend getting pregnant by a ghost :skip:. The performance was kinda weird because she is thrust into this fantastical world, while also dealing with very real human drama. Her mom dying, being separated from her brother, lil dude being abused by his foster parents:mjcry:, serial killers :picard:, but her character doesn't really act like someone going through so much. Don't blame her being tired from all the traveling she had to do though.

Finshed it. 8/10 double 👍 on netflix. I can see why some folks didn't like the last 4 episodes but I couldn't help but like The Corinthian's shenanigans and Dream being an over the top a$$hole I'm still thinking about how mans evicted the couple, then killed Lyta's dead husband in front of her and then told her you can keep the baby but I'm gonna snatch him after you give birth on some

:dead:

I like the set up for season 2 so netflix better renew this.

Finished this last night, really enjoyed it and hope Netflix renews. Agreed with most in here that the quality dipped after the first 6 but I still enjoyed the whole season.

Now trying to decide if I should grab the books and get the full story.
