any of yall root yet?

im bout to go stay at my people house for a week and they aint got internet so ima have to tether

i need a tmoile rom with tethering and wifi calling

im bout to hit up xda and see what they got

any rom recommendations?

I rooted for tethering. Its simple. BUT, you need to follow this:

Bypass Tmobile User Agent Sniffer ( Tether ) - xda-developers

T-mobile will block tethering if you're not paying for it. It works fine but make sure you're rooted or you wont be able to use the tether app.

Hey guys, after much debate I've decided to get this phone for work as well as international use and have a few questions.

Can you easily unlock this ATT variant of this phone? Or is it better to purchase the international version?

Second, what are the benefits of rooting this phone?

I've seen news about the Note 3 on the horizon, supposed to be like 6.3 inches. I'm set to cop the Note 2 in a few days, but if it turns out the Note 3 is dropping in a couple months, I can make myself wait.

don't get it twisted my Lumia is still my primary phone. The Galaxy note will be for work. I need the hand writing tech desperately, and really don't want to buy another tablet.

Its still Lumia all day, but the note may be useful for transcribing notes at work

On a serious tip, while I'm still convinced that Windows Phone 8 shyts all over Android something serious, the Galaxy Note itself is an very intriguing device. I'm in the medical field and I do a lot of note taking and electronic charting. Having a device that I can write notes on, which can subsequently transcribe handwriting into text is extremely intriguing. Plus unfortunately the medical community is behind the times and therefore many of the medical apps that I used previously on my ipad simply aren't available on Windows Phone. Maybe next year when the appstore in more mature but for now the medical app selection is piss poor on Windows Phone.

But yeah fukk your cracked note. I don't want it. But I do have a question, is the Galaxy Note 2 a plastic fragile piece of shyt like Samsung's other products? Because some of the reviews I've read have led me to believe that the Note 2 is of higher quality than previous Samsung products.
