the tweets in the op are contradicting. is it ethnic cleansing or jihadist getback? most of the jihadist in Mali are Tuaregs or other mix race people. some fulani in the Azawad region want a separate state but there are not the ones fighting a war against the Malian military.

having said that, fulani people in northwest africa(Guinea, Mali, Senegal, Mauritania etc) don't try to pull the same stunts that they do in Nigeria. they know their place. plus they are much more closer culture wise to ethnic groups from those areas than in Nigeria since they actually originated from there.
