Interesting points somebody brought up.
Every time the price of oil goes near or above $100/barrel Putin invades some other country and tries to take from them. He did it with Georgia. He did it with Ukraine first with Crimea and now again he's trying to take over Ukraine completely.
Why is that significant? Well during the previous U.S. President's term pipelines were opened up in the West that resulted in the price of oil/gas dropping.
The current U.S. President is from a party where the policy is formed around climate change (World government) and they shut down oil pipelines opened under the previous President which has resulted in the price of oil skyrocketing and there is no end in sight because we know the policy of the current White House and West will not change based on their announced plans for their policies on climate change. No matter what else is done outside of opening up other pipelines, Russia will continue to bring in money to fund their military operations and conquests into wherever they choose. The most likely situation is that the price of oil reaches all-time highs and we have a situation where Russia will try to expand their power because their population has been in the decline for years.
