Methinks, this has more to do with your level of education, brain capabilities in processing information and level of exposure.
The problem with a lot of you Americans is that you think the world revolves around America and you view geopolitics and foreign policy based on your local politics.
No one outside your borders care about the Dem vs Rep thing - it’s about your foreign policy, which always remain constant regardless of the political party in power. And your foreign policy isn’t shaped by your local politics - it’s mostly shaped by banksters, plutocrats, lobby groups, military industrial complex, etc., hence it’s constant.
Once you get the requisite exposure and education - things would become clearer to you.
Also, about military: with how big the US military is and all the spending, it shouldn’t be looking for allies to support it every time it’s about to go to war. And the only time it went to war almost unilaterally in Vietnam - we all know what happened. An invincible military wouldn’t need NATO. British empire never needed other countries in Europe - it did its damage solo.
Just something for you to ponder on. Inability to understand the complexities of comments you can’t understand and outside your knowledge scope doesn’t make them a joke.
