I’ve always assumed their Victory Day parade was the same thing as their May Day parade that they have almost every year?

It would literally be hundreds of warheads to intercept. Even the space-based defense in development isn't feasible for defending against Russia:

Not only that. It doesn't matter if you could shoot them out of the sky. In a massive attack their are too many to shoot down. There is no way to shoot a bunch out of the sky especially with them traveling 15,000 miles an hour plus and can reach NY in 30 minutes from Russia.
