Iirc it was never really on the table due to this exact scenario aka triggering Russian aggression. But I might be wrong, I haven't paid much attention to NATO politics over the last few years.

I been lurking but I have to ask, what can we do to stay ahead or possibly prepare for the backlash from this? Weapons, generators,food, medicine? I'm 42 I'm not getting drafted and my kids are too young I'm not worried about them. I took all my money out of stocks.

As someone whos used to dealing with Natural disasters without a doubt you got to think of the worst case scenario, first things first id be looking into a generator.

I have this generac generator, secondly stock up on perisishables, water, and gas if you have a safe place to store it. If you can get your hand on some MRES these would be perfect in a worst case scenario.

As for meds this is one of the most overlooked things alot of people dont think about. id stock up on over the counter pain meds, antibiotics, vitamins and caffeine pills because in a worst case scenario especially with kids, and if you have a generator you will have to be alert on a 24 hour basis.

Also id look into getting burglar bars and stock up on ammo my grand parents have them on their doors and windows and we always joke if the end of the world happens their house will essentially be the spot everyone goes to, they are very solid youd need a power tool to cut them and still have to break down the door and by that point youd be prepared for whatever happens.
