But why are we starting a thread in this forum to focus on what others are doing in the other forums?

This whole thread seems a little "TLR"-ish to me

I don't know what went down ( I've haven't posted in a while) but it seems dudes are celebrating the success of the forum so far moreso than focusing on TLR. From what I gather, it seems like people hoped this forum would fail. Just my observation.

This thread is not TLR-ish because is shows how TLR was over taken by trolls whos sole purpose was to cause contention between black posters. 99.9 percent of all threads in the root is constructive. Let the OP vent. We are finally troll free...

Slick lil comments.. Mostly a bunch of fake "joy" at "militants" being gone from TLR.. even though I don't understand why they feel the need to be so preoccupied with what goes on here that it's being mentioned in so many random topics.

TLR was the defacto area to get news for people who weren't interested in the stuffiness of Higher Learning.

For example, the thread on Walter Scott went 118 pages versus 8 pages in Higher Learning.

So The Root is far from a gimmick, news and social commentary can butter our bread.
