Rock was one of the few that properly and immediately used the I.C. Title as a stepping stone and quickly traded up to the WWE Championship. nikkas today like Santino and Zack Ryder won't be doing that.

Damn, found it. this was the promo I remember as a kid thinking, this dude wayyyyyyyy to swagged out for the IC belt. nikka got the vest, high top, gold chain, 300 dollar boots and the ic belt sparklin! That ic belt held so much prestige back then mayne smh

That 1999 when Road Dogg, Val Venis and Chyna were champs kind of had the belt lose its luster in my eyes. The Chris's battles for it was great, but it just didn't seem like a big deal to be IC champ to me anymore (and that was my favorite title growing up as a kid)

That's the thing doe my man, you comparing these IC runs to the rocks run which was phenomenal and brought the ic to another level. So that's a bit unfair. The 1999 runs were average runs, but the benoit/jericho (angle) runs brought back that prestige IMO. Hell even the European tittle had meaning when Kurt/jericho/benoit were feuding for it.

Oh yeahhhhhhh I forgot my dude my eddie guerro (rip) too, I don't think he brought as much prestige to the intercontinental tittle compared to jericho, but he did bring weight/prestige to the European tittle. It was either smackdown 3 or 4, I won every tittle with eddie
