Honestly man it's not about choosing a side to me or "blackness" in general. That's stupid. The man is biracial. I would just like to see him say yeah my dad is black, being African American is important to me.

To young black kids growing up watching wrestling, and seeing no real black role models, it would just be cool. Not necessary, but cool.

His next big push had him joining a pro black wrestling group.

He also inducted his father into WWE hall of fame.

Yo I think its been an effort to quiet down his blackness by Vince, Shane, and Pat Patterson since his debut. I honestly think Rock is proud of it. Them boys always knew Rock was gonna be one of the biggest jus cuz they never had someone that big, good-looking (pause like a muthafukka), and was intelligent enough to really talk in that company's history. But he was black so they did what they could to make him marketable. Cuz when u see Rock back in them UM days you would probably be like "look at this big ass light nikka" then "look at this south pacific dude".
