The lunacy on this Fox shyt is hilarious

But yeah good for Rocky. As a single cam comedy, this could work but being on network does hinder them. But I'm also assuming the material they have isn't for network since they're going more for comedy and less dramedy

I'd love to see a HBO drama series about the territory era during the 70s and 80s.

I think that would work better as a comedy

I thought that would make a cool movie back before feature films were :flabbynsick:; A journalist tries to do the whole Hunter S Thompson Gonzo thing by following a Flair-esque wrestling superstar on the road for a bit during that time period

Still waiting on this. Vince probably nixed it.

Norman Lear Teams with HBO for Wrestling Series

Iconic television producer Norman Learis going cable.

Lear, who was the force behind such classics as All in the Family, The Jeffersons and Sanford and Sons, will develop a "character-driven" pro wrestling series for the cabler, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Set in the 1970s in New York, the tentatively titled Everybody Hurts will focus on a family operating a pro-wrestling business and will also delve into the hard-knock lives of the wrestlers and their fans.

Lear will executive produce the project with Lara Bergthold of his Act III Prods., while the script will be penned by Aaron Blitzstein ( The Riches). - Joyce Eng

Idk. If you can get a hit on network TV he'll still get paid and all the bingers will catch up on Hulu and Netflix later anyways.

black shows and fox :francis: :mjcry:

Good thing it's a half Samoan show then :mjpls:

Anyone else made this - I would bet against it, but everything Rock touches turns to gold these days so :manny:

It's going to be like '30 Rock' with the writer playing the Liz Lemon role trying to keep 20 roided up, half insane Tracy Jordans from fukking up the show.

Vince wont like this

There's literally nothing he can do to stop it. Rock was the highest grossing actor in Hollywood this year.

If Vince is smart, he lets Dwayne cook and stays in his hermetically sealed room in Titan Towers, collecting his piss in jars and signing big ass cheques for him around late March :manny:
