Probably Because it wasn’t a wrestlemania match and The Rock VS Austin III overshadowed it.I think I mentioned it on here years ago, but it’s crazy to me that Rock/Hogan II has been pretty much lost to history In WWE cannon. If you watched any of their hundreds of video packages or documentaries from the past 15+ years, you’d think the two only ever squared off once at Mania 18. I don’t think they’ve ever referenced this match or showed video of it since the night it aired.
And looking back, it was super ballsy to do this rematch a month before Wrestlemania.
