Yeah this was a good promo but it was also pre-taped. Rock's portion of the promo was played to interrupt Hogan at various intervals so he only had seconds to rebuttal. Hogan's mic work was also extra lazy, likely out of spite, so he looked even worse. He got absolutely cooked.

I think I mentioned it on here years ago, but it’s crazy to me that Rock/Hogan II has been pretty much lost to history In WWE cannon. If you watched any of their hundreds of video packages or documentaries from the past 15+ years, you’d think the two only ever squared off once at Mania 18. I don’t think they’ve ever referenced this match or showed video of it since the night it aired .

And looking back, it was super ballsy to do this rematch a month before Wrestlemania.
