I watched a Swedish movie a month ago, called "The Square", and it was kind of a social commentary about inequality in Sweden, which is apparently extremely disparate. The same as here, where the haves, essentially wade through the homeless, as I am guilty of too, of course in Europe everyone looks so much more stylish, it stands out more in the movie.
Theres 10 million swedes.
Dudes forget scalability when we live in a big ass country that needs THAT many more hospitals, schools, cell phone towers, etc.
Not to mention we are VERY spread out.
85% of swedes live in cities.
Stockholm itself is home to 25% of the country's population.
Dudes think providing the same services between LA and Houston means the same thing in a place like Germany.
yeah, they have 80 million people but Germany is HALF the size of Texas geographically.
This fetishization of these nordic countries pisses me off so much.
ESPECIALLY with black Americans who really don't know what time it is back home.
