Be realistic for a minute. PS4 sold over 100 million at 399 launch. Why would they go away from that? That seems fukking dumb. This is going to be the best 399 that you can spend on a console. It was just Microsoft not only went above the 399 threshold but also looks like they will lose money to get to 499. There are two different deltas being targeted here. That's always been my point and I expect it to be fully realized today.
That 399 is nice but if people want power that's good for more than a couple of years, you need to be prepared to pay a premium.
They're already going to take a loss regardless. I don't think this costs less than $449 minimum regardless of what they show today. This isn't 2013 anymore. You got raytracing, and potentially power of a 2080 (or more) in there. Yeah they're buying in bulk, but that shyt is not cheap.
I never understood why people are so against paying more for more power. Parents I get. But you can't be in here complaining about sub-30 framerates, and you think you gonna get more without paying over 500. Or else we're gonna end up with a situation like we did this previous gen.
