In the case of America, Black Conservatism and White Conservatism are two opposing and competing systems that cannot share a space together..you cannot put a Black power man in the same room with a White power cac.

Yes..we are a very accepting and tolerant people and that is our biggest flaw.
We should have killed the first European or Arab that appeared on our shores.

Still true though. Also what politicians outside of presidential candidates do you think these kids are paying attention to? All they need is Trump, they don't give a fukk about Desantis or MTG

I always said, once Trump gets knocked off, a lot of MAGA won't even vote anymore, and certainly not for a Trump knockoff.

I think this election cycle proved that, look at Desantis, Vivek, Mark Robinson. People like Trump, but they don't like the party around Trump. It was eye opening seeing how many states voted red nationally but blue locally down the board.

I even question the actual allegiance of MAGA cult voters to the GOP. Seems like more than half of the diehard MAGA/trump fans were apolitical and never cared about politics before he came on the scene. I bet they rarely voted and only recently supported the republican ticket because of trump. They weren’t supporting Romney/Ryan in 2012 or McCain/Palin in 2008 back in the day. They were not interested in politics and supporting the Republican Party during the Bob Dole and George W bush days. When trump will stop making bids for the US presidency and will officially retire from politics, most of the trump stans will stop caring about politics until another similar outspoken right wing populist celebrity runs for president. These same People who are trump fans will become Dwayne « the rock » Johnson fans if the latter wanted to run for POTUS by appealing to lowbrow nativist and populist sensibilities. These low information and poorly educated folks love to be entertained and they love stanning a narcissistic maverick and big loudmouth talker like trump. He’s literally a clown, a walking meme. They love to root for entertaining, polarizing and controversial characters. Trump is like Tony Soprano to them. Their beloved anti-hero.

I think we give so called working class voters too much credit as to why they vote the way they do. You can break down the economic reasons, the law and order reasons, the healthcare reasons, the foreign policy reasons etc etc, but I don’t really believe that’s the reason why. They can’t grasp the depth and complexity of these issues anyway. They don’t have the ability and the intellectual curiosity to do it. They never had a college level education anyway and they are only able to read at a 6th grade level. They literally have the intellectual and mental capacity of a 6th grader in an elementary school. And they lack have empathy, sympathy and compassion for people who don’t look and think like them.

It’s just a cult of personality thing in my opinion. One candidate was successful at cultivating a controversial, polarizing and entertaining image( as despicable and ridiculous it was) the other one was not. Trump’s prime time television political advertisements of painting Harris as this ultra liberal, trans warrior (which is laughable considering her past as a district attorney in California ) were successful. Trump has inflammatory rhetoric and catchy one-liners for the easily distracted and intellectually shallow folks, he gives simple answers to complex questions and he plays on the deep fears and emotions of the ignorant, xenophobic, racists and poorly educated. There’s a reason why the petty, uneducated and dumb people voted for trump. When you see people voting against their interests in every election, you understand why.

Also Republican voters will form like voltron and vote for the Republican candidate in a block no matter what, the same can’t be said for democrats. They are United and put their full support behind the back of their guy. They really stay on code. And most people who vote for the GOP are Hispanics and whites (the two most dominant racial groups of this country)

When Trump will retire, his base will retire from politics immediately too . Trump loyalists don’t care about J.D Vance, Ron deSantis, tulsi gabbard, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, or Vivek Ramaswamy. They don’t care about the GOP as it is.

they emotionally support trump and weren’t interested in politics before 2015-16. Where were these maga cult fanboys in 2008 or 2012? They didn’t care about John McCain or mitt Romney.

And Trump won’t be able to run for a third election because he will be too old to do so, and also because the 22nd amendment of the US constitution anyway. He will be only limited to two terms. But the damage will be done after 4 years.

Still true though. Also what politicians outside of presidential candidates do you think these kids are paying attention to? All they need is Trump, they don't give a fukk about Desantis or MTG

This is such a dumb and shortsighted decision on their part. Objectively, there has not been a more pro-labor pro-worker president since like Lyndon Baines Johnson (who implemented his great society programs and bills during his 6 year mandate as potus between 1963 and 1969 ) than Joe Biden. Joe Biden hit every check box, saved pensions, reshored jobs, boosted manufacturing, kept and implemented tariffs, used big lofty bills/acts like IRA and CHIPs to try and revitalize it all and yet those "working class voters" all voted against their own economic and personal self-interests and voted on white supremacy, white grievances and culture war bullshyt. They were entertained and brainwashed by the crass WWE/ fratbro/faux macho toughness character act of trump. Transgender ads were everywhere, anti-woke messaging hurt Kamala Harris. It didn't matter, they weren't voting for Biden anyway and they weren't voting for his Vice president obviously. So if you're a Democratic candidate, you will waste time, energy and effort trying to placate these voters, who are more emotional and vote for feelings and not facts. They don’t care about serious issues like foreign policy, economy, sciences, education, healthcare, military, etc but only culture wars and sticking it to liberals.

These kind of people will always vote for the candidate with the most entertaining vibes they chose fukkery over anything else.

Just reading through this thread we really gotta stop associating masculinity with conservatism.

Black masculinity in its rawest form came from a revolutionary stance, not imitating the status quo.

We’ve spent far too much time the last several decades trying to do what they do and value what they value, only to be surprised when the youth are attracted to the real thing.

They're not anymore conservative than other generation.

The video maker is just relying on half cooked data and online trends that are never as black and white as people make them out to be.
Behaving like most professional journalists I see

The incel-to-conservative pipeline is about as direct as you can piss in the toilet.

Y’all say that but it doesn’t seem like y’all actually know young Trump supporters IRL. I’m very close to Gen Z in age and most of the loudest Gen Z Trump supporters I know IRL aren’t incels at all. They’re the frat bro types who have no problem getting women.

Once Gen Z realizes they can't afford a house or to be a stay at home wife they will probably change their minds on conservatism to some degree. Over the next 10 years or so.

So much of modern conservative politics is self defeating for the voters, and far more "elite" friendly than the left.

Perhaps we'll have to live under an authoritarian Christian nationalist fascist regime for a while before things change. Us millennials have lived through a recession and 2 wars caused by republican leadership.
A lot of Gen Z doesn't truly know what far-right conservatism eventually leads to. They like the aesthetic but once our civil liberties are eroded and life gets harder they'll see it isn't all it's cracked up to be.
The problem is no one on the left is "cool" and speaks to the many issues Gen z is facing in a way that's relatable. And right wing billionaires have bought off many content creators to push right wing narratives on a 24/7 basis. Gen Z lacks the media literacy to know that they're being propagandized by right wing billionaires and are extremely gullible. If you've spent any time around them you'll know what I'm talking about. A lot of them are easily manipulatable and don't think on their feet as quickly as previous generations. Being raised on social media has taken away their ability to think critically.

Far right conservatism will bolster white supremacy and maintain white privilege. That’s what they’re voting for and they’re very aware of that.

They keep on focusing on people who voted for Trump but Trump got just about the same number of votes in 2024 that he got in 2020. There was a jump in the percentage of Gen Z who voted for Trump, but I haven’t seen anything suggesting the total number of Gen Z Trunp voters increased. A larger share of Gen Z and people in general just didn’t vote.
