The first And1 mixtape featuring skip was classic I remember they were selling the vhs tape out of is8 gym in Southside Queens for like $10. It's crazy that naclerio didn't see any money off of that and those were his highlights of Rafer. But once it got too commercialized and watered down it became a joke and it's one of the reasons that streetball fell off so bad for so long

Even though I don't play pick-up as much as I did when And 1 was live, this shyt is far better than how it used to be.

nikkas taking 8 hours to dribble the fukking ball, kicking it when they try a crossover, bricking Lay-ups, hitting the backboard only to catch it and dribble more, the one nikka that could dunk was always trying some shyt and nobody wanted to play defense on him because they were afraid of getting dunked on. I hate all of that shyt to this day. Thank god, people play in squads and distribute the ball now.

As a get it and go type of player I couldn't stand playing with or against them dribbling ass dudes...I was always quick enough to bait a dude into driving to the hole and blocking his shot.....but the and1 wannabes just wanted to dribble and throw it away...

I'll say that it forced me to play really defensive with these nikkas. I was short, but I knew that all you had to do was smother and most of these scrubs would crumble and start bytching. I remember the old heads used to pick me when we were playing mixed squads, because they knew I was going to be one of the few nikkas playing defense out there. shyt is a guaranteed pick on a nice team, and you get your shots for playing well.

I went to the Walmart at White Plains and saw And1 gear there. Not gonna lie, it hurt. I still fukk with their shorts though. $10 but them shyts are comfy, nice color combos, logo ain't all over the gear.

I’m not in tuned with the youngins in this steph era, but during AND 1, nikkas would throw the ball off your face(I fought my cousin over this), throw objects at you, dribble for over a minute throwing the ball in the air, dribble for over a minute, throw the ball off the backboard, and if they somehow got it back, dribble some more. Some nikka on here told a story of how a nikka dribbled the ball up the court with one hand in his pocket, and then slapped the defender with powder, another nikka said somebody threw a shoe at him while dribbling. that along with the endless carries, double dribbles etc
