Latest On The Revival's WWE Contract Status

The Revival are getting a very good spot on the card, especially as they follow Shane McMahon around while looking like old-school heel champions. However, don’t be fooled because The Top Guys still may be on their way out of WWE.

Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson rejected new WWE contracts. Those deals were for five years and worth $550,000 a year each. It doesn’t look like those deals have been signed yet.

Sean Ross Sapp reported on Fightful‘s post-SmackDown show that so far The Revival have not signed new WWE contracts. Therefore, they could plausibly still be out the door once their deals are up.

It should be noted that Dash Wilder had a few months tacked onto his contract because WWE can do that if someone misses any time from the ring. He broke his jaw in 2017 which required him to live his life in a face cage which is now coming back to haunt him in that regard.

Therefore, the previous time what Dash and Dawson’s contract would be up around WrestleMania 36 will be extended a bit for Wilder. However, Cody Rhodes’ nod to The Revival during AEW Double Or Nothing probably gives us a lot of hope that The Top Guys won’t be looking for work long if they do let their WWE deals expire.

They won’t leave. If they kept Maria and Mike they’ll definitely up their offer the closer it gets to their deals running out. I’m starting to think all this disgruntled independent contractor business is a work.

Nah, The Revival have always been the most likely WWE talent to leave for AEW. You gotta remember that they were revered as the best tag team in the world in NXT. They can only get back in contention if they leave WWE, and they already got a fully ready-to-go feud with the Young Bucks waiting for them.

They have a main event run waiting in AEW. They’ll never main event in WWE

They would be foolish to resign. Mike and Maria weren't doing shyt and will never be used properly. They know better. The Revival can thrive in AEW. Sometimes the money isn't worth it.

Plus Maria likely got some hush money over the Ashley Massaro shyt . :francis:

Weird they'd give them the tag titles knowing they may not re-sign.

They still have like a year left on their deal, and so they will be used as they would normally until it's closer to end date. And probably a little "please don't go look we'll treat you right" mixed in there too.

They still haven’t re-signed, right? :lolbron:

Why not just wait your contract out? Requesting releases just enables them to hold out longer

Their contracts are up in April or May. Guess they want to make it out of the E in time to debut at Double or Nothing 2.
