So werent their contracts about up? So by releasing them it holds them to a 90 day no compete? It did say immediate release. Maybe its wwe’s one last way to say fukk you and they miss double or nothing. Prolly wont happen because of coronavirus

The issue is these guys aren’t as over as they think they are. Booker T knew what time it was and told them to take the money and shut up. But hey, some people like learning the hard way..

They knew they weren't over, at that point with Book I think they just didn't care and it was obvious. :lolbron:

IMO they're too pretentious about tag wrestling for casual WWE fans, but for the indie/hardcore scene, they'll be well valued.

In other words, stop speaking the truth..? lol ok

:rudy:

You couldn't help yourself when I mentioned Vince hating tag teams

Didn't even mention the Revival. New Day being a freebird tag team was smart to leave flexibility for them to be always on TV and not in catering. Got nothing to do with moving merch.

Everything in NXT doesn't translate to the main roster. They're not good.
They found an incredible niche by being anti-flippy shyt, deliberately simplistic, an overt nod to the Minnesota Wrecking Crew.

Main roster had them scooting ass across the canvas, and hanging out with Shane McMahon.

They were putting on terrific matches in NXT with Gargano & Ciampa, American Alpha, Enzo & Cass, even the Vaudevillains.

Just because WWE squandered even more talent, doesn't mean the Revival is not good. It means that the company doesn't know what the fukk they are doing.

Vince gives zero phucks about tag team wrestling. His philosophy is if one of them gets injured, they are effectively useless to him. That's why the New Day were smart to freebird as a tag team
This is one of my biggest issues with WWE overall. They have a great tag team division and they should be featured prominently. I'm a huge fan of tag team wrestling.

Right. WWE has ruined every NXT call up since the Women's Revolution. People can say what they want about The Revival being boring or vanilla midgets or what have you, but WWE had a legitimate worldwide superstar, among the most charismatic wrestlers in the past 20 years, an incredible talent in the ring, with tons of hype in Shinsuke Nakamura.

Within three months of getting called up, they had him feuding with Dog Ziggler and jobbing to Jinder Mahal for the next 3 months. Then they turned him heel and made his entire character centered around hitting dudes in the balls. Then they changed his music because people still liked him too much and would still sing to it. And he's been in mid card purgatory of swapping US/IC titles and forming aborted teams and stables for 2 years and is currently the 3rd wheel of a stable.

Blaming The Revival for their booking when WWE has made crowds not give a shyt about Shinsuke Nakamura (intentionally, it seems) is stupid, but also they continued to get reactions despite their terrible mismanagement anytime they were given any time to work a solid match.

But it's not an exaggeration to say WWE has ruined every NXT call up for 3-4 years now, no matter how popular and successful the talent was in NXT (or wherever they came from previously). You have to think at this point it's fully intentional as a dikk swinging move by Vince to show HHH he's still the boss.

During their NXT run Revival was the only tag team I would've put above Sekimoto and Okabayashi :wow:

If they get to that level again :whoo:

I mean, Vince called their year long bluff at the worst time. I'm sure AEW or NJPW will grab them up because they're very talented but at a severe discount. They seem like the frugal type, but still. Promotions aren't making money at the moment and who knows the next time shows will run with fans.
