more bad news for the trump 24 crowd :dead:

this fukkin clown is not surviving the next 3 years of tax and criminal cases with his credibility intact. the most he does as a republican is a guest appearance at a few rallies, if hes not dead or in jail

Prominent attorney Robert Barnes doesn't expect anything to come out of it (skip to the 10:20 mark):

Robert Barnes & Rich Baris discuss the Battle of CPAC in the War for the Republican Party, plus the simple and slow media on the blue collar realignment.

Anyways, good to see you recognize DeSantis as the most obvious 2024 GOP candidate:

thats the problem in here sometimes, dudes give the american public way too much credit

if trump getting elected taught us one thing, its that americans love to vote for this fake bullshyt idea of "business success" that the republicans unfortunately successfully push. trump and desantis are the embodiment of that :dead:

if they polished desantis, he might be a problem in 24. i didnt realize it at first, but i see it at this point

-he WILL come out of covid as a "successful governor" who "saved his economy"; i guarantee it
-hes not washington, so he's sufficiently removed from the MAGA riots
-governor of a huge state thats starting to attract business with low taxes
-as governor of FL he clearly knows how to win with hispanics
-he'll have trump endorse him, and has that same "drink a beer with" bullshyt quality that got W elected. twice
-he'd win AZ and GA

the writings on the wall there. thats kind of a solid list

I had to chuckle when folks were sleeping on him earlier in this thread. I think the media has begun to notice how much of a threat he is because they're now spinning stories to smear DeSantis

When have Trump voters ever cared about any of Trump's legal issues?

Not sure how many times Trump's quote about being able to shoot someone and not lose any votes has to be said, but we all know it's true.

He's just going to make himself out to be the victim of a witchhunt like he always does.

It may encourage him to run for the sake of avoiding jail if he was elected President.

No guarantee he gets charged anyway. Even bigger no guarantee that a grand jury finds him guilty. I'm not falling for the same trap I fell down with Mueller.

If he is cleared in any way shape or form, it will only boost his 2024 profile and play into the witch hunt narrative.

Just use the 14 amendment to ban Trump from running for President

I'm all for it, but it's highly unlikely that Congress would actually go through with that.

Plus I could easily see the Supreme Court getting involved if they did..:patrice:

he'll always have 35% of america, but he just had like 45% and even that wasnt enough. i dont see him reaching that 48 ever again, with the dems now having the ability to run a 24/7 loop of the riot during campaign season

I guess the GOP is maybe listening to what Cerno, Ryan Girdusky, Ann Coulter, & others have suggested:

Both David Perdue & Kelly Loeffler were weak senate candidates that gets NOBODY excited to vote for them, so right-wing Twitter is probably happy about this news. Although Kelly Loeffler said yesterday she still considering running in '22 against Warnock.
