how does the scholly limit work? we are already 9 under @ 76 this season, but im assuming it means we have to be at 82 each year until 2016

18 seniors means we sign 24, but there will be a couple more transders more than likely. not sure if we can add to the class at this point (26 commits)

edit: http://miamiherald.typepad.com/umiami/2013/10/official-announcement-from-ncaa-9-scholarships-over-3-years-for-football-no-more-post-season-bans.html

need to be @ 82 for next 3 years

Gray Crow and a couple others might need to :camby:

@SoulController I wouldn't be too worried about staying at or around the 82. We've been around 75-82 for the past couple of years anyway.

We only took 18-19 last year. There's a lot of kids in this years class trying to Enroll early so they'd count back toward last year. 2014 is at 26 as of now and prolly has room for many 5-6 more kids.

Derrick Griffin seems very set on coming in January, him/Dixon/Berrios and Langham would probably be the most versatile and highest rated WR class we've ever had

checked out film on everyone lately, love the LB's. Owens and Smith are classic Miami OLB's, big Juwon looks like a Barrow-esque MLB

Powell is being recruited as a corner but damn hes amazing with the ball, might set some TN state records this year

We have some badass receivers now.. except no height. We need a tall body for them endzone catches.

Hurns, but hes never been a big body or much of a leaper.

Griffin and Langham are both 6'4, and DR's leaping is sick. Dixon is the all around guy kind of like Coley will be, with Berrios in the slot. not sure if Lockley is going to SS or TE but he looks like a good athlete himself

Statements from UM Head Coaches
Tue, October 22, 2013
University of Miami Head Football Coach Al Golden:
“I want to sincerely thank our student-athletes and their families who, not only stood with the University of Miami during this unprecedented challenge, but subsequently volunteered for the mission. They shouldered the burden, exhibited class and exemplified perseverance for Hurricanes everywhere.

“Further, I would like to express heartfelt appreciation to our staff and families who did not subscribe to this challenge three years ago, yet courageously adopted it as their own. They have brought the utmost professionalism, resiliency and integrity to our program. More importantly, they continue to recruit and represent our world-class institution with class and dignity in unprecedented circumstance.

“Lastly, it is with gratitude and humility that I say thank you to our administration, U Family everywhere and the entire South Florida Community for their unyielding support of our young men and program over the last 28 months.”

University of Miami Head Basketball Coach Jim Larrañaga:
"I am a big believer that success is based on attitude. We continually remind our players that life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it.

“We will continue to approach our work with a positive attitude as we march towards being the best we can be. I am grateful to our administration and counsel for leading us through this difficult journey and I want to thank everyone who loves this University and who has supported the young men who proudly wear the Miami uniform. We are excited about the upcoming season and we are all moving forward.”
