not a big fan of the 3 tackle rotation between Flowers, Bunche and Henderson. Bunche is a 4th year guy and still whiffs on alot of blocks, little too big for guard and not athletic enough to block quicker ends. Linder and McDermott got eaten alive by a great player in Easley, they along with Morris and Dorsett need to play better. Walford should get 5 targets a game minimum, even tho we didnt get a chance to use them much the TE position has alot of speed

Dallas def needs some touches, Clements is a great kid and plays hard but Crawford is clearly the 2nd best back. need more stretch plays, running Duke into 3 NFL guys right in the gut isnt going to do it, he runs hard but his strength is in space and on the perimeter

Yeah man I've been complaining about the OLine rotation for the longest. But Bunche stepping out and pulling is just comical. None of the lineman are gonna grade out well today. Trell and Flowers both started well but struggled as the game went on.

how crazy is it that Muhammed/Kamalu and Moore didnt even play. they would have been in by the 2nd series last year, and they had the ball 38 minutes. Golden has done an amazing job on the fly with d line depth. with Valentine and Thomas being locks to play as freshmen the thin dline shyt is over.

and with that comes actual packages, instead of having Cornelius play the run and get mowed he came in on 3rd and broke up a few passes. theres actual down and distance sets for the first time in years

on a sidenote, couple people said Demetrious Jackson was the best defensive player in that Miami Central/Booker T game. kids gonna jump to a high 4* by the end of the year

I'm pretty sure AQM played, well at least I think I saw him out there. Him and McCord on 3rd down has been :lawd:

Even saw Chick slide down to Tackle a couple of times. We've still 1 class away but you can finally see all the mishaps starting to Fade. Depth is still a issue but the team as a whole is in so much better condition. Defense was on the field almost the entire game and never faded

I'm glad the broadcast team pointed out how our DLine controlled the gaps. Everybody was where they were supposed to and it freed up our LBs to make plays. A big difference from last year where guys kept shooting the gaps and leaving holes in the defense.

@SoulController I wouldn't read too much into that

From 247

"We got some work to do on the offensive side, and the D line played great. I am 100 percent committed to UF and think that Ermon [Lane] and me can play right now."

It's gonna go down to NSD but winning today was huge for a lot of reasons. One of them being recruiting. Personally I think Cook just doesn't want to play with Yearby. Kid wants to go off and do his own thing.

Man, Im loving what I'm seeing with that defense...What a difference a year makes.

a lot less mistakes, sound gap control and good tackling...all problems under the last regime. I knew once Golden got his guys in there things would change...now right before our eyes, the process is playing out.

I'm still a bit worried about FSWho, but other than them, we SHOULD beat every team on our schedule

who's better between cook and yearby? cook seems to have an extra gear of explosion but yearby is a playmaker too:lupe:

and golden has done a phenomenal job thus far when you consider everything he's faced with negative recruiting, the NCAA and lack of talent previous coaches left. he's recruiting like a monster, developing players and has them ready to go on game day. i could tell he was on point with his shyt in his very first game he coached against maryland in 2011 when we had all those suspensions from the nevin shapiro shyt. even tho we lost, you saw players executing much better.

i actually see linebackers and DBs wrapping up and stopping offensive players at the point of contact and not getting dragged 4 or 5 yards.

if this was the 07-2010 team playing, the entire defense wouldve been gassed in the 2nd half and UF wouldve ran all over us. those coaches didnt emphasize conditioning at all, too busy kissing certain players asses:mjpls:

I'm fine with yearby and Powell but why can't they find a decent back with decent speed that's some where in 6ft 1in range.

Storm Johnson would have got decent playing time two years in a row. I wish Kevin Grooms would have qualified two years ago but I guess no crying over spoiled milk
