One of the WR's (Carter, Jones) could leave. Got 1 committed now with Johnnie Dixon and Braxton Berrios both looking like Cane leans.

Both were projects coming out of hs, and are the bottom of the depth chart.

Odogwu (ill get his name right by his senior year) , Gall (spider bite) Isadora and Knighton all out of practice today. Knighton is out for the year he was going to RS most likely, Isadora is out for 8 weeks

Goudis has been hitting 45 yarders regularly, O'Donnell from all accounts is a beast no worries about punting and KO's this year.

Some notes from the 2nd scrimmage held this afternoon

At the scrimmage. Halftime.

Here are my highlights:

Herb Waters 45 yd completion from Morris

Herb Waters 60 yd completion for TD on 3rd down from Morris

80 yd Morris TD to Dorsett

Defense with a 3 and out. Morris pass to Malcolm Lewis short of 1st

Artie Burns jumps on pass intended for herb waters in end zone. Bats down. Impressive.

Duke Johnson tasty 20 yd run

30 yd pass from Morris's to Mo hagens

20 yd pass from Morris to Duke who makes a bunch of people miss.

Defense has been hit and miss. Have gotten a couple of 3 and outs and defending the running game fairly well. Gilbert (11) has played quite a few snaps and has gotten pressure on Morris once contributing to incompletion.

In terms of injuries: In addition to Chickillo not playing, Mo hagens took a hard hit and had to be helped off field. Ladarius Gunter also took a shot to groin but seemed ok.

2nd half notes:

After one possession that ends in defensive stop 1st team offense and part of 1st team defense comes off the field. Williams comes on for Morris. Crawford for Duke. Perryman stays on.

Nifty 10 yd run by Crawford.

Williams pressured by Gilbert and Muhammad on consecutive plays. Throws incomplete.

Williams sacked by what looked like Kamalu. Not sure though.

Williams misfiring. Hold that. Williams hits Coley for a 30 yd td. (Someone said it was Lewis but pretty sure Coley was receiver.) Otherwise Williams still misfiring!

final possession:

DNofrio yelling for Kamalu. Big boy. Lines up at DT next to Renfrow.

20 yd completion Williams to Coley. Tackled by Jamal Carter.

Tyriq McCord bats pass down at line.

25 yd screen pass to OT. Nice to see.

Tyriq McCord touch sack on Williams erases a nice td pass to Sandland in end zone.

12 yd 1st down to Garret Kidd. Ball at 9yd line with 48 seconds to go.

1st down incomplete. Kelvin Cain bats down pass on 2nd. Incompletion intended for Dmauri Jones on 3rd down. Defense wins possession.

Wait...offense goes for it on 4th down. Williams hits Stacey Coley for 9 yd touchdown on 4th down. Scrimmage over.

For what it's worth. Offense 31 - Defense 19. More importantly no injuries in 2nd half.

Fall camp has ended yesterday, cut camp by two days. Now the staff is in FAU prep.

Really disappointed in Kirby, Golden gave him every opportunity to take the starting spot from Gaines and he just couldn't do it.

Also our Safety situation is :merchant: Deon is coming off a Sports Hernia which kept him out of practice. Rayshawn is another guy who didn't use the Fall to snatch a starting spot. If we go into the UF game and 22, 30 play the majority of snaps we're in trouble.

Danny Dillard and Dyron Dye both are no longer on the team. Dye still dealing with the NCAA, and Dillard just sucked.

Dye was coming off an injury, he wasnt going to play. what a bust, him and Ray Ray committed on the same day dude never played decent snaps

Bush has to get back to starting by UF, we cant start Rodgers and Highsmith against good comp. when i saw Hamilton @ 285 i had a feeling he was moving inside, Gilbert gives us depth this year and then Mustafaa/Chad Thomas/Harris are all coming next year. Al has restructured the line pretty well, far from stacked this year but improved with a big leap comin next year. Suttles too, we will have a sick 2 deep @ end

with Corn Elder being a corner for now, we really only have 3 backs. we have to get another stud in this year to go with Yearby

id like to see Earl Moore RS now that Renfro and Jelani are inside. same for Kamalu unless we get wacked with injuries

What's up with Gus Edwards ? we literally have no size at RB knock on wood but when's the last time we had RB that didn't get nicked up halfway thru a season ...Yearby is like the same size as Duke was coming in we need a big back that can contribute .

Dye was :dead: the second the NCAA called him in for the 3rd time.

I think Kamula plays and plays a lot. Moore definitely needs a RS, and Jelani should also.

Gus is fine, he would have been back today but camp has ended.

u called it, Carter is gone. physical freak, but he was so raw i think he realized he was never going to play much

cant wait for Derrick Griffin to come in, him/Coley and whoever commits this year will form a great core for the future.

Yeah man but its one of those times I hate to be right. :to: I always thought Carter could have had the Same kind of impact Streeter had his JR yr.

It sucks losing guys but its clear they all realized pt would be short for and did the best for them.

i was really frustrated with him last year, but it looks like Armbrister had a really good camp. didnt let Figs just take his job, and wore the blackshirt a few times. despite losing some guys @ LB i think we will be fine there. not alot of depth, id like to see Jermaine Grace RS but he may have to play if someone gets hurt.

still cant help but wonder what an Eddie J/Denzel/Figs (or Arm) core would have looked like. what happened to Eddie did he enroll somewhere else yet?

Manny Navarro said barring a walk on getting a scholly (not happening) we are 5-6 under the 85 limit? :leon:

we have 25 committed, and Griffin/Suttles/Mustafaa would all count towards next years class. wonder how many offers we can afford to give. not sure which kids in this class are possible grades casualties i think Young the LB is one of em
